I met John through my breeder, Ray Carlisle. At one of our first meetings, we started to talk about his breeding (and working dogs in general) and he said he wanted to introduce me to John who then gave me a demonstration of what some of the dogs can do. Needless to say, I was completely blown away when I saw John work Wyatt (a young male doberman) on the field. I didn't know much about schutzhund but I realized at that moment if I get to be lucky enough to own one of Ray's dogs, I would do everything in my power to train with John in the hopes of achieving that kind of relationship with my dog.
After a short while, I got my Becks. I will never forget the day I picked him up. I asked Ray, "So, when do I start to train with John?" and he responded " yesterday". That is how it all began...
Now it's been almost 2 years of alot of FUN, learning (mostly on my part, because Becks seems to get things alot faster) and tons of hard work. But we did get our BH (notice how I say "our"). Right now we are focusing on getting ready for the Sch1. Thanks to John's patience and expertise, I know we can do it.
